Igor Korbatov – Co-founder, General Counsel & Managing Director

Mr. Korbatov is responsible for coordinating all legal and corporate governance matters involving the Partnership. He is also responsible for the commercial real estate focus of the Partnership.

Mr. Korbatov has had a 20 year career in real estate, focusing on development, management, governance, and real estate law. Over that period, he has acquired and developed numerous residential, commercial, and office properties. He is a principal of Amalgamated Real Estate Services, LLC, a real estate management company located in Los Angeles, which manages and oversees maintenance of multiple wholesale and retail properties. Mr. Korbatov is also a principal of 8200 Management, LLC, a private real estate firm that manages executive and virtual suites, and Korbatov Equities, LLC, a family real estate investment company, which owns and manages portfolios of residential income properties in California.

Mr. Korbatov was also one of the founding directors of the Los Angeles Downtown Property Owners Association, the governing body of the LA Fashion Business Improvement District (the “LAFBID”). The LAFBID covers 100-blocks in downtown Los Angeles, dedicated to making the Dominion Partners under its charge a clean, safe and friendly place to work, shop, do business and live through maintenance, security and marketing programs. Launched in January, 1996, the LAFBID was the first property-based business improvement district in Los Angeles.

Mr. Korbatov is a partner at Israel, Friedberg & Korbatov, LLP, a boutique law firm based in Beverly Hills. His practice has focused on acquisitions and sales of real estate, raw land and developer’s projects, all facets of real property development and financing of all types of transactions, from acquisition and contribution loans to refinancing and workouts. He also has substantial expertise in leasing of commercial, industrial and retail space, as well as ground lease transactions, and syndication structuring and sales, including tax and securities law aspects. Prior to founding Israel, Friedberg & Korbatov, LLP, Mr. Korbatov practiced real estate, construction, and international law with the firms of Alschuler, Grossman & Pines; Christensen, White, Miller, Fink & Jacobs and Korbatov, Rose, & Rubinstein.

Mr. Korbatov graduated from the University of Southern California in 1985 with a B.S. in Finance and Strategic Studies (Magna Cum Laude) and received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall) in 1988. He is also a licensed California real estate broker.

Mr. Korbatov supports numerous civic and philanthropic causes, and serves on the boards of a number of such institutions.
