Aaron Cuha – Co-founder & Managing Director
Mr. Cuha is responsible for the overall operations and management of the Partnership and leads the residential real estate focus of the Partnership. His responsibilities include establishing policies, practices and standards, sourcing, underwriting and closing acquisitions and dispositions, developing and executing investment plans for all company investments and monitoring the investment performance of all properties.
Mr. Cuha is a real estate industry executive, philanthropist, pilot, and educator. He brings over 24 years of experience to the Partnership, covering virtually all aspects of the real estate business, including mortgage, investment, and loss mitigation. From 2000 through 2007, Mr. Cuha was Chairman and President of Directlender.com (Synergy Financial Management Corporation). Launched by Mr. Cuha in early 2000, DirectLender.com quickly became one of the largest privately held Mortgage Brokerage/Real Estate companies in United States, with over 200 branch offices across the country. Mr. Cuha served as Chairman and President of DirectLender.com until it was sold in 2007. Since 2007 and prior to launching Dominion Partners, Mr. Cuha headed operations and served as strategic advisor to Chase Merritt Residential LLC, a major distressed residential private equity firm.
Mr. Cuha is a past President and board member of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers and the National Loss Mitigation Association. He is an active member of many other industry-related organizations, including the Mortgage Bankers Association, National Association of Realtors, and California Association of Realtors. A frequent speaker on best practices in the real estate and mortgage industries in US, Mr. Cuha has served as an expert and an expert witness in major cases across the United States, opining on loan underwriting, lending policies, mortgage banking operations, forensic accounting policies, regulatory procedures and legislation. Having completed numerous executive education programs, Mr. Cuha attended Orange Coast College from 1987 through 1989, and is a licensed real estate broker in multiple jurisdictions, general contractor, and pilot.
Mr. Cuha and his wife, Debbie, are the founders of The Center For Global Change a 501(c)(3) public benefit non-profit organization. The Center’s main focus is to support struggling children in third world countries. Mr. Cuha also serves on the board of directors of numerous national and local charities, including Operation HomeFront, the nation’s largest military assistance foundation.
